This Hope will be in concert Sunday, March 8, at 10:45, at First Baptist Church in Princeton, at 300 West Main Street; and at 6:00 at Zion’s Cause Baptist Church, at 1532 Highway 68 West in Draffenville.

Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church will be hosting Karen Peck & New River in concert on Friday, March 13, at 6:00. They are located at 300 Fountain Avenue in Paducah. The concert is free, but donations are welcome. For more information, you can give the church a call at 270-443-1724.

The Gage Boys, Servant’s Heart Quartet, The Liberty Boys, and The Moreheads will be in concert Saturday, April 18, at the McCracken County High School Performing Arts Center. This concert is hosted by McCracken County Relay for Life and donations will benefit the American Cancer Society.

The LeFevre Quartet will be in concert Thursday, June 4, at 6:30, at Canton Baptist Church, at 423 Boyds Landing Road in Cadiz.

Community

Murray Preschool/Head Start and Early Head Start will hold registration for the 2020-2021 School Year on Friday, February 28. Registration will be held at the Murray Board of Education, located at 208 South 13th Street in Murray. Registration is by appointment only. Olive Baptist Church, located at 4611 Olive Hamlet Road in Hardin, Kentucky, is hosting Center Shot Archery, for grades 2 through 12, every Sunday night until March 8th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The event is free, with no experience required and all equipment will be provided. Educational Events

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training will be offered Wednesday, March 4, from 8:00 until 5:00 at Murray Calloway Transit Authority, at 1111 Transit Way in Murray. Youth Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that teaches adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents who may be developing a mental health or substance use issue and help connect them to the appropriate care. The course will be presented by the Four Rivers Regional Prevention Center. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The training is free but space is limited. Marshall County Agriculture and Natural Resources will host a class on beekeeping for beginners Tuesday, March 10, at 6:00. This class is intended to teach the basis of beekeeping while offering an informal setting for inexperienced beekeepers to ask questions. For more information, call 270-527-3285.

Mike Miller Park in Draffenville is hosting, “Clinic to Success: Disc Golf Tips for Beginners,” on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 until 2:00. Registration is limited to 50 participants who want to learn how to please disc golf and learn how a tournament works. Topics will include putting, driving, disc selection, and game rules. The Hopkinsville International Festival will be held Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex. Events will be themed around celebrating our global heritage with music, food, and family fun. Events will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 Friday and from 10:00 until 6:00 Saturday. The 2020 Western Kentucky Polar Plunge will be held Saturday, March 7, from 8:00 until 1:00 at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park. The Polar Plunge is a
fundraiser for Special Olympics, an organization that supports children and adults across the state with intellectual disabilities. Participants can take part in the 5k run, jump in the lake, or register for the “triple crown” which includes both events.
