Topics will include a discussion of what the Farm Bill is, what has changed, and ARC versus PLC. Mike Miller Park in Draffenville is hosting, “Clinic to Success: Disc Golf Tips for Beginners,” on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 until 2:00. Registration is limited to 50 participants who want to learn how to please disc golf and learn how a tournament works. Topics will include putting, driving, disc selection, and game rules. Marshall County’s Giving Bowls Project will be held Saturday, February 22, from 11:00 until 1:00, at Lakeland Event Center in Calvert City. Attendees can choose a hand painted bowl to purchase and fill it with foods provided by areas churches, businesses, and restaurants. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The 2020 Western Kentucky Polar Plunge will be held Saturday, March 7, from 8:00 until 1:00 at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park. The Polar Plunge is a
fundraiser for Special Olympics, an organization that supports children and adults across the state with intellectual disabilities.
