The third Friday of each month, Kentucky Opry hosts an evening of southern gospel music presented by Southern Gospel Singers United. Revival, Homecoming, and Other Services

The 133rd Hurricane Camp Meting is being held through Sunday, August 1, at 7:00 each evening. The Stone Family is singing at each service and Steve Stone is the guest speaker.

His House Ministries, located at 1250 State Route 303 in Mayfield, is holding revival services Friday, July 30, through Sunday, August 1, at 6:00 each evening. Vacation Bible School

Elm Grove Baptist Church, located at 6483 State Route 94 East in Murray, is holding vacation Bible school through Thursday, July 29, from 5:30 until 8:00 each evening. Community

The American Red Cross is in need of additional volunteers in west Kentucky. Areas of particular need of volunteers include in-home smoke alarm installation and fire safety education visits, delivering youth programs that provide disaster education and coping skills, and CPR instruction. Fundraisers

The Humane Society of Marshall County is hosting a “4 Miles 4 Paws” benefit run/walk Saturday, August 7, at Kenlake State Resort Park, located at 542 Kenlake Road in Hardin. Life House Care Center’s annual banquet will be held Thursday, August 26, at the CFSB Center in Murray. Mark Schultz will be the guest speaker. Doors open at 6:00. The evening’s events will be held from 6:30 to 8:30, beginning with a meal. There’s no admission, but donations will be accepted to benefit Life House Care Center in Murray, a 501(c)(3) organization which provides testing, ultra-sounds, counseling, and other services to women who are pregnant, or who are considering or have had an abortion.
