Who says VBS is just for kids? “The Classics,” VBS for the Young at Heart,” will be held over three days, August 5th-7th from 9am-11:30am at Altona Baptist Church located at 5827 US Hwy 62 in Calvert City, KY. This is for people age 55 and up. It will be three days filled with fun, fellowship, worship, workshops, speakers, and music. First Methodist Church in Metropolis, Illinois is hosting the 31st Annual Cancer Benefit Concert on Thursday, August 22nd at 7:00 pm. The Tribute Quartet will the featured guest. The concert is free, and an offering will be taken up with 100% of the proceeds to go to the American Cancer Society to benefit cancer research.
